2025 Trout Parade

It is almost time for Livingston Manor’s 19th Annual Trout Parade! Join the library as the town boogies down with this year’s theme, Saturday Trout Fever. You will find the library table in Renaissance Park from 10:00am-4:00pm. Stop by to say hello, apply for a library card, learn about Summer Youth Activities, sign up for programs, join the Summer Reading Challenge (for kids of all ages), and more!

  • Kids of all ages are invited to be IN the parade and ride in the library’s float or walk with the banner!

  • Decorate your own “trout wand” to wave in the parade (stop by the library anytime before June 6th to take one home).

Registration Required:

Memoir Writing Workshop

Have you ever wanted to write a memoir? Your opportunity awaits! Join professional writer Teresa Tulipano for a free six-week memoir writing workshop for adults at the Roscoe Branch. Participants will work with Teresa to generate six new personal narrative essays from the provided writing prompts. The class will work together to give each other gentle and supportive feedback during each session, and Teresa will provide written feedback the following week.

Classes will be held weekly on Wednesdays from 11:00am to 12:30pm, starting on July 16th. This writing workshop will conclude with a performance on August 27th at 6:00pm, that will open to the community with refreshments provided.

To apply for one of the limited spots, please send your name, phone number and a 500 word writing samples to [email protected]. Please put the words "Memoir Writing Class" in the subject line. Samples are due by Monday, June 30th. Participants will be notified by Thursday, July 3rd if they have been selected.

Senior citizens are especially encouraged to register so that we can capture stories from bygone eras.

This project is made possible in part with funding from a Sullivan County Arts & Heritage Grant, funded by the Sullivan County Legislature and administered by Delaware Valley Arts Alliance.

Summer Youth Activities & Reading Challenge

The library is excited to announce our Summer Activities & Reading Challenge for youth of all ages! There will be a wide selection of children’s programs offered throughout July and August as well as a reading challenge with exciting prizes.
