National Library Week 2026
![]() | Celebrate National Library Week with the Livingston Manor-Roscoe Library April 19-25! National Library Week is an annual celebration highlighting the valuable role libraries, librarians, and library workers play in transforming lives and strengthening our communities. Stop by either branch Monday, April 20 through Saturday, April 25 to pick up a free gift, and help us create a special display by writing a line or two expressing what you love about your library. |
How to Write Irresistible Stories
The Library is excited to announce an upcoming workshop for established writers with acclaimed author, novelist, and essayist Marie Myung-Ok Lee. As a co-founder of the Asian American Writers’ Workshop, Lee is known for her dedication to supporting writers of color and fostering strong writing communities. She is also the inaugural recipient of the Conjunctions Residency, “Writers Helping Writers,” and will be staying at Hemlock Neversink through May. Lee's library workshop titled “How to Write Irresistible Stories” will include reading and discussing short works and generative writing exercises.

Incoming Summer Reading Program Brochure
![]() | Each summer, libraries across the country come together with support from the Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP), using a shared nationwide theme complete with engaging artwork and slogans, to enrich their own unique children’s programs and raise awareness about libraries. |
This summer’s theme is “Unearth a Story” and the Library is excited to announce a multitude of programs and a reading challenge elevated by dinosaurs, fossils, and subterranean delights. Families can expect a brochure outlining everything the Library has planned to be available in April to allow for early summer planning. | ![]() |
Free Movie Streaming with Kanopy
Do you pay for Netflix, Hulu, or some other streaming platform? Did you know you can stream movies for FREE using your Livingston Manor-Roscoe Library card!? The Library’s newest online resource, Kanopy, allows you to enjoy critically-acclaimed movies, inspiring documentaries, award-winning foreign films, and more from any web browser, android, or apple device. New movies are added every month, with titles such as Grease, Zoolander, Charlotte’s Web, Chinatown, Mid90s, and many more coming in April. |

Manor Ink
Manor Ink is seeking student reporters! Working with our local award-winning, youth-led newspaper is a great opportunity that provides a unique and invaluable experience for aspiring writers, photographers, journalists, and the like.
Teens ages 12 to 17 are invited to engage with the community, share their voice, and earn financial rewards for their writing and art along the way. Manor Ink meets every Wednesday at 3:00pm. Adult mentors are encouraged to join as well.
